so i yanked the valve cover, one of the cam lobes is grinded down the center. the rest of them are nice and shiney. its on the #2 cylinder, the closest to the driverseat. i dunno if thats intake or exhaust.

any opinions/options/ideas are helpful......

satan did my timin belt on jan 3. i have a 90 day 4k warantee on that.

can i tie them into this???

i got no CEL throughout my troubles. but this explains the chuggin/vibrations/tappin/knockin.

wish me luck

When you stand in front of the car and are looking at your engine the back cam closest to the firewall is your intake cam. The cam closest to you will be the exhaust cam.

I just had the same problem. I took my cams to the engine shop and they told me they were junk. Mine wore through the hardened coating. I was told to get new cams

I just bought cams off of ebay with 65k, so I wont need these. Go to the bottom of this post. Someone has cams with 38k on them for sale.

Yeah you'll need new cams. Also make sure the lifter and rocker don't have problems while you are at it. They could have been the cause of the excess wear.
