If it wobbles then it may be bent. Have you recently removed the crank pulley or done any work relating to removing or retensioning the belt?

i havent done anything except replacethe ps/ac belt and the alt belt. ive noticed it wobble before but always thought it was supposed to do that since it was the harmonic balancer. i thought it was just balancing out. these 420A motors are new to me so im at a loss withit. i still cantfigure out why the belt flips over. it never leaves the pullies but just flips over to the smooth side

it's not a balancer, it's just a dampner. It also has a rubber ring in it, which may be decayed and coming apart.

Replace the crank pulley.

This.

I bought an underdrive for my rebuild because I didn't want to pay for new and all 3 of the used ones I have are junk
