130537, Gst/gsx style injectors in 420a rail question Posted by streetlightning, May-05-10 08:56 AM
I got some injectors from extreme Psi, (1000cc) for the 90-99 dsms , ball and seat low Z. I haven’t had a chance to look at my stockers, but I noticed the o-rings on these look larger then the ones on my stocker (as far as I can remember). And have a different plug which was expected. I briefly searched, but haven’t found much, I figured id post and search a little more as well 2 questions: Are these the bosch style 1 connectors? Im hooking them up in conjunction with my Ms (that has yet to be installed ) And will I need to swap/buy new orings and and drop these in my stock 420a rail?
Thanks for the input

Perhaps a solution for the retaining clips? i run isdle @ 48 psi now, this may change, but the clips would make me feel safe lol

I jus pulled my intake manifold to remove my port fuler and stock wiring harness. I got new oem orings for the 1000cc's i got. It seems like they dont go in as far and they r pretty hard to get seated. It looks like the spray pattern will be further back vs oem. Will this be an issue? Has anyine else had an issue like this? Pics will be up soon

Those are some pretty pictures, but I don't see any pics of injectors ;-)
I don't know what you have for injectors, but if they are 4g63 style then yes they will be tight on the rail. I use a little grease to help them slip in there. Double check to be sure that the seal didn't roll off. They can be a pain in the ass. I have had to pull them a couple of times on install because they rolled.
I don't use the retaining clips; no reason. As far as seating in the head, I haven't had any problem with them seating at a slightly different spot. But then again, what do you compare it to, lol?

You know the retaining clips are not going to affect how your pigtails stay on based on fuel pressure. It is not like a higher fuel pressure is going to make your pigtail go flying off.
