I`ve looked online without any luck and I`d like to know how much does a 420a longblock weigh. I`m looking to transport one and would like to know if I`d be able to lift one with a buddy out of my wife`s car without a problem and if it would be ok to put it in her trunk.

I think you could move it with 2 people but's going to be difficult, I would recommend 3 people to do it rather "easy"...

If your worried if a car can haul it, well last night I moved mine about 100 miles from where it was getting done in my mom's Honda Fit...

So as long as it fit's you can move it..

How low did the Fit sag. I`m bringing the motor from New York to Georgia. I just don`t want the car looking like it has hydraulics and bottoming out.

Not much, I really didn't notice some extreme change on it it did ride lower but not like it was all the way down.

It will be fine in the car.

As for lifting a long block by yourself, you may need a second person. Its not bad to move it with two people on a pallet.

I think it weighs 300lbs or so IIRC.

On the high side of the scale. I put a full longblock with intake and exahust mani AND AC on it, into the back of my Eclipse. I lifted it up with a slightly built 18 year old kid. It took a LOT of effort for me to lift her up there (notice I said ME. The kid wasn't much help, lol). BUT it will fit in the back of your car (rear seats down and covered with blanky etc.).

I ended up taking it out with the cherry picker.

it'll ride in a trunk just fine. put something that can distribute the weight, like a piece of plywood, or something, if you don't wanna puncture any seats or pull up any carpet.

The engine is almost impossible to remove, even with a friend, out by hand. Get a hoist.

the engine, bare (no accessories), weighs 240lbs. with accessories and a pallet, figure 300lbs.
