130395, no power to ignition coil Posted by combatmedic87, Apr-15-10 09:05 PM
Hey there I have a 95 non turbo and the other day it just died on me. After a searching for a lil while I found that I wasnt getting power to the ingintion coil. So I check other plugs around it and found that they worked. Just the one plug going to coil and a plug that runs into the throttle body. I also noticed that both plugs have a black wire with red line. Could anyone help me out with the issue. Still have not been able to fix problem and I would really love to get my car back on the road. Thanks

Does it turn over when trying to start or no? Try checking your wiring harnes by your EGR pipe. wiring harness could be shorted there from heat. Also check your fuses if u havnt.

Test your ASD relays, over by the brake and clutch res. That could be your problem, as well as your ecu. 95's are known to have problems out of their ecus. And like stated above, check the wiring that goes by the egr pipe, lots of times the wires will lay on the pipe and will melt and short to ground, once you have checked all that get back to us and let us know what you found. :thumbsup

Definitely test the relay.
Do you have a friend with a 95 ECU you can try? I had a 95 Neon and the same thing happened, ECU's are very similar. It was the ECU.
