This hone should work but they actually show you a much better one to use in the Proper rebuild .PDF

FOR de-glazing that will work.

There is allso the ball hone but to be honest either one works the same. No one can actually PROVE one is better. I like using the straight stone type for my own reasons.

I would have to ask what your definition of HONING is as I suspect you have no idea.

So what is you're definition of honing? I thought that was what it is all about?

Basically I am just deglazing for the new rings on my new pistons that are going in.

that hone will work fine for you. Be sure you mic the cylinders again and calculate your piston to wall clearance. You will also need to file fit the rings after deglazing also.

Or you could just eyeball the gaps, but only if you want to do the job all over again within a few thousand miles and endure years of ridicule for doing something as stupid as eyeballing your ring gaps.

I let my local machine shop do my rings LMAO..The guy looked at me and said are you serious and i said does a brown bear shit in the woods
