Just replaced my clutch, and I already have an ebay short throw shifter installed and had it in for 3 years until now and i think it went on me. I don't know exactly what the problem is though, I am having a hard time putting into gears. Like I go to put it into gears and I have to give it an extra push. Could that be my slave cylinder? because of the cheap short throw shifter? what could it possibl be?

Does it feel mushy when trying to put in gears? For example your going to put it in 2nd and it just makes its way back to neutral almost immediately?

If this is the case, something could be wrong with your shifter cables. One could be busted, both could be busted, or the metal clips are loose or damaged that hold them in place.

Not mushy at all. And no it doesn't feel like it wants to go back into neautral. When I out it into gears, I'll push it down into second but in order to actually put it into second I have to give a thrust. And that's with all my gears

Well I would remove your battery and check the cable connections on the top of the tranny. If all is well and tightly secure, remove your center console and inspect there to make sure its all tight and secure as well.

Agreed, if the issue seems to be with the shifter itself and the clutch seems to be operating fine I'd recheck the shifter cables. ESPECIALLY after changing the clutch. I'd bet that the horseshoe clipse that hold the cables to the top of the trans are missing because they didn't get put back in place correctly. It's really easy to not quite get them all the way back in place which can let the cable shift or completely come loose making shifting damn near impossible.

Might want to try bleeding the clutch fluid
