129652, 2.7 Rockers/ PT Lifters problems (Long)

First off great website and thanks for all the prevous help on my rebuild but now Ive ran into another problem I can't find an answer. I recently finished my rebuild a few months ago. The motor sounds and runs great except for a little bit of lifter tick. This tick started to bother me so I recently purchased a set of 2.7 rockers and PT lifters from a member on here. I installed these last week with out removing the cams with pry bars but afterwards the car would not start. The motor sounds as if I don't have any compression at all like the new rockers/lifters are holding the vavles open. The car is over 2 hours away from my current residence and I was pretty pissed when it wouldn't start so I have not had the chance to check compression numbers (plus snow is making it difficult to get to my car). So my question is are these rockers/lifters taller/longer and holding my valves open resulting in loss of compression? Has anyone else had this problem?
PS: I did not compress the lifters before installing them could this have caused the problem? If so will they compress on their own after setting a week or two in the car or should I take them out and compress then reinstall them?
Thanks for any help or information.
Sorry should have mentioned this was a stock NA complete rebuild.

No, those lifter/rockers will work fine, as they are stock dimensions.

Are you sure the pry bar did not do damage? Never heard of that method before...

It's the two-screwdriver method. Just compresses the lifter so you can pop the rocker off and reinstall without removing came / timing belt / etc.

Typically, I bleed the lifters down in a vice before I reinstall.
