Like the title says I took my engine out of my 97 and put it in a 95 I'm redoing, and obviously found out that the fuel rails are different. My question is if it will affect anything, and if not if I should just cap off the return line. However, I'm also in the process of going turbo and wondering which is better? Just leave the 97 rail on it, or switch it out for the 95 rail?

I've switched fuel rails between the early and late models - you'll be fine as long as your FPR setup is appropriate. Cap off the rail and you are fine.

I would keep the 95 rail if you are planning to go turbo, as the fuel return line connector will be handy when you go with the old school SFMU setup or the newer 1:1 FPR/MS route.

I won't have any problems if I run NA though for awhile with the later fuel rail though right?

The '95 rail has a built-in fuel pressure regulator. The '97 requires a separate fuel pressure regulator. If you are putting this into a stock '95 body, it would be easiest just to swap in the '95 rail. Otherwise, you will have to install a 1:1 FPR and return line connection at rail. I prefer the '97+ rail's cleaner exterior and unobstructed interior so I run one in my '95. I did use a -04 AN push-lock barb adapter and Aeromotive 1:1 FPR.

Alright so I should just swap out the rails to make it easy.
