I changed out the water pump and timing belt I marked the timing on the harmonic balancer but forgot to check the crank shaft sprockets timing but I din't mess with them I had the old timing belt still on when I did the harmonic balancer timing. I put everything on and started right up no hesitation to start would the low rpms be to not doing the top crank shaft sprockets or would it be from the fuel I don't know when the fuel filter has been change and don't know what else to check please HELP!!

By "goes low rpms" do you mean it stalls? It wont rev past a certain point?

There is no timing for the crank pulley.

If you didnt check the timing marks (which is what I *think* you meant), then yes, that could be your problem.

The car starts right up it idles fine when started at first but when the car starts heating up to normal temp it goes to a lower idle

Is it idling so low that the car stalls and dies? If not, there is no problem. The idle will come down after the car warms up, in fact I think any car I've ever driven does, but as long as its not idling so low that the car stall or dies, than there's no problem.

That's supposed to happen. The ECU will keep the idle high when the car is cold to help warm the engine up faster. Mine idled at about 1100 cold and 800 warm.

I know the car idles high when it's cold and lowers when it's warmed up. Never mind I solved my own problem thanks anyways

What was the problem?

the scanner said it was off one or more on the timing belt so i gotta redo the timing all over again damn now i gotta take everything off again

You say that you have to do the timing all over again, leading us to believe you have already done it once, albeit unsuccessfully perhaps.

your timing didnt jump a tooth you just put it on wrong....just follow the link that was givin step by step...

How would we know? What belt did you install? Part #?

Chances are if it went on correctly and you tensioned it right, it was the correct belt.

Again, remove the belt, and follow the instructions in the link to reinstall the belt correctly.

Well how many timing belts are on an eclipse? I'm guessing one maybe. And I don't think the number on the belt has to do anything with me timing the crankshaft it self and the balancer.

There is one timing belt on your motor. I asked what part number it was because I deciphered your poor sentence structure in the previous post as you asking us if you installed the wrong timing belt, not if you installed the timing belt wrong.

The balancer is not keyed or indexed to the crank in anyway, hence it cannot be installed out-of-time.

The only things you need to be worried about is the indicator on the oil pump & crank sprocket, and the timing marks on your camshaft gears.

Ok now I got a answer I'm looking for and I stated my question easily unless I got to break it down word for word on here to understand where I'm getting too what I meant to say is what did I put on wrong? the timing belt? that's what ballinboy had said I put the belt on wrong? thanks for your help code4

look at this link and go over this if because this is what you need to time your car right if you didnt do this the first time that is your problem

The timing belt sound to be off like everyones saying... you can check it easily by pulling your #1 or 4 spark plug, putting a slender clean rod into the cylinder, and rotating the crank until the rod is at it's absolute highest point (like within a degree of rotation on the crank, you need to be very accurate). Then pull your Cam gear inspection cover and look at the marks. They most likely won't be lined up.

So once the #1 piston is all the way up and check if the markings are off? Do I align the markings then?

You can try to guess your way through this and hope you get it right but that would be the WRONG thing to do. Do it right the SECOND time. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 (or whatever the hell it is). Redo your timing corectly. Period. Alright, exclamation point.
