well it was prettty easy.. just the fact that it was hot.. poor hands..

i almost didnt have a deep 8mm socket.. but then i found one in my room.. thank god.

well its simple
steps
take out wires
unbolt distributor 4 10mm bolts
get deep 8mm socket and theres 8 bolts
take off VC
clean really good take out old gaskets
clean head.. dont get dirt into the head.. scrape off old silicone. with finger nail.. gasket scraper is a waste cant get in the tight spots
put new gaset into VC.. simple and tube seals
place silicone in all 4 corners and near cam sensor
place VC ontop try not to smear the silicone

then reverse the steps to put back on..
TQ on VC bolts 3.33 then 6 then 8.9
let sit for 16 hours ormore..

oh yea.. man the car looks so cool without a silly VC on it.. i want a clear one so you can see the action..haa someone make one haaha

Not a bad idea. I bet if you give a couple of plastic places a call they could come up with something. Be sure that they use something treated for enough heat. It might come out hazy on the other hand. I'll have to check w/ my buddy who's major is in plastics.

well wait i just thought of something.. it would look horrible..
because all that oil will get splashed up on top of it.. just like when u take ur VC out.. theres all oil and crap on it... damn i didnt think of that tilll just now

I'm just saying as show. If you use Syn. it will drip down a little. I'm an all go and no show kinda guy. But for some of the guys and gals that like that type thing, I think it would turn heads for sure!

a 2gntr out here in vegas named tia has a clear hood. havent seen it in person yet. it could be done, probably expensive tho.

well no matter what once u put that VC on ur going to get oil on it u see what im saying.. unless they trailer it.. but ithink it will never be perfect... and i dont think the hoood get as hot as the hood does
