I have a 420a and i wanting to get the greddy evo2 cat-back. and my questions are does anyone have one?, is there a better cat-back?, and does anyone have the gst verison for there 420a?

Whilst the quality can't really be called into question, that's an awful lot of bread to drop on an exhaust, especially since it's not going to net you many ponies. If you're looking for power there are many far more cost-effective modifications you can perform.

That being said, I had the equivalent G-Reddy on my 1g TSi. I loved the sound, and the quality of the materials/workmanship was top-notch. It was, however, already on the car when I bought it. :P

I have the HKS Titanium Carbon exhaust for the GST. Fits fine. Any GST exhaust (cat-back) will fit and bolt right up!

Look for used exhausts, I got a great deal on mine from eBay, and it was brand new.

I agree with fallen. That exhaust is very expensive. In my opinion, not worth the price. I haven't heard it on a 420a, but on the s2000 on their website, it sounds awesome...... but that is an s2000, not a 420a. I would do some research. There are better bangs for your buck out there. I dont have one and dont know anyone that has one for a 420a, but my friend has a megan catback on his rsx-s and it sounds awesome (wont sound same on our platform of course) and he picked up 11hp on the dyno. numbers will vary from car to car obviousy, but for 325 bucks, i'd get some opinions from people here that may have one. Just don't buy something because they have a good rep. Remember, piping is piping. You can't really screw up a catback. If you can, then you shouldn't be in business lol. with greddy, the only thing you are paying for is the name.

To be honest to dump that kinda of money into an exhaust is rediculous, especially considering your not even going to notice a difference besides sound. A cat back should be one of the last things to modify on these cars because that alone isnt going to give you power until about 180 hp or if you go turbo. If its sound you want just buy the a'pexi muffler and weld that on your stock pipe or get a gst pipe with the a'pexi muffler should help a little and won't loose anything in low rpm. And seriously look into headers if your modifying exhaust thats the most important hp part of the exhaust system, especially if you can find some longtube headers.

I have the Greddy EVO2 on my 2gnt and I love it at low rpms its quite and when you smash on it sounds great. I also had to goto reff for a modified exhaust and it passed the sounds levels no prob in CA. I got mine brand new from a Greddy sale I talk them down to giving me it for 100 =D check around if you can get it for a good price you wont be disappointed or just buy a muffler you like and goto a muffler shop and they will make you a cat back

I agree with the above. Friend of mine just bought a nice muffler for $100 and then went to a reputable muffler shop in our area and had the guys make him a 2.5" catback system. It looks really nice and the welds are perfect, and that only charged him $190! Thing sounds awesome too.

Of course, since they do not mandrel bend the pipe, you lose a little diameter at the bends, but for a N/A street car, does it really matter if you sacrifice a negligible amount of power?
