Just wanted to know with the dis-2 do we need a dual channel adapter?

Just want to know, and is it easy to install?

I have an MSD with no tach adapter and I have a CEL but I have noticed to problems because of this. I couldn't get the car to start with the adapter hooked up even after re checking the wiring like 4 times. MSD tech support told me just to run it without it since I had no start with it.
