There's a pretty pronounced green band on #3, never seen that on a spark plug before. Any thoughts?
By the by, cars been overheating often and running low on coolant, plus the A/C compressor has a tendency to lock up sporadically during turns (fun) and insert any various other DSM problem.

Color of porcelain looks good, the green I think it's got to do with ignition not sure...
About the A/C did you check the tension? it may be to tight mine did that when I over tightened the pulley... so did the PS more with the a/c on.

I'm gonna check the tension on the pulley after dinner, otherwise I might need a new clutch on that.
Girlfriend raised an interesting possibility, Iron and Pheltsbar (sp) mixed in approriate quantities and fired to approx 1000F produce a greenish glaze. I know where iron would be present, but where would my plug find a silica, and how would I have turned my engine into a kiln!?!

Generally, green means go.........and do a headgasket.

yup. headgasket.
Green most likely is the dye or whatever is in the Coolant.
Silica is present in the "porcelain" (which is not actually porcelain) in a spark plug.

Exactly. That'll be the cause of your overheating as well.

It could be a headgasket but the green is caused by glazing which is basically a lean fuel mixture, or an engine overheating, if the head gaskets fine colder plugs will help.
And Mike do you ever say anything helpful or are you just a dick to everyone who says anything you dont agree with?

Re-read up on how to read plugs. White or light grey is what you get from lean mix/overheating, not green. Green is 100% coolant dye
