Hello i am in the process of prepping my engine for turbo right now. i need to know about the eagle connecting rods found on howells site and the connecting rods offered by hahn. which is better? have yall had any problems with any of these? i need to know because $750 (hahn) and $350 (Howell) is a lot of difference i appreciate any help. thanks.

The ones from howell (eagle)are great if you dont want to go into the really high hp range. Hahn's which are (crower) are stronger and can withstand more hp. I am not sure but I think the eagle rods are good up to like 400hp. The eagle rods are plenty for most applications. Not many people make enough hp to break the eagle rods.

The Eagles are good to 500 hp, according to Eagle.

I just got mine a week or two ago. They are bad ass compared to stock. They even have ARP bolts on them.

Which probably means they are good for more than 500hp. By the time you are able to surpass even 500hp you should have your back up engine prepped by then.

I've talked to them about the rods. And they told me that the highest reported hp on the rods from a neon or a n/a eclipse was 600+. They said there almost the exact same as the rods they make for the integra ls and they've had those rods up to 800hp. So they should hold all the hp most of us will make

i asked murix the same thing in an e-mail, here's what he told me: "The Eagle rods will do the job. Crowers are actually stronger, but you would have to make over 600hp to probably notice the difference. I would go with the Howell rebuild kit as it has everything and makes it easier than sourcing all the parts. That and it is pretty good for the price."

I have no basis for comparison, but the crowler rods have taken a lot of shit from me and I've never had them get bitchy with me yet. <knock on wood>
