Im looking for something to log a few things if possible, RPM, Knock, Timing, and air fuel, as well as whatever else can be logged. I checked pocketlogger, and it says its been discontinued. I have a laptop and would rather use that to log than a palm pilot. Whats out there?

Personally, I'm curious to see if evoscan works. I know about a year or so ago it was a no, and I may be reading the post wrong but according to it's creator...
"Supports all Mitsubishi MUTII vehicles - All 1994+ Mitsubishi Vehicles support this."

I can't wait to get my hands on this for the evo (hopefully in about a month) And if it works with the eclipse, bonus!

I use the Zeitronix Zt-2. Logs A/F, RPM, EGT, Boost, and TPS. Its a quality product and I def recommend it.
Not sure what OS you have on your laptop, but I have Vista and the software still works with that as well. All you need is a USB/Serial adapter and you are all set.

I have XP Pro on it. I may try the EVO scan out. I just need something to make sure when I use this SAFC, when I lean it out Im not knocking the fuck out of it at 7 grand.

I would contact the guy first before spending the money on evoscan, otherwise I may be able to tell you in a month or so ;)

I probably wont have the extra cash for a few months, so I could probably wait for the results you get. Let me know when you get it and if it works.

Don't worry if it works with the 2gnt, I'll be sure to make a thread.

Current update - I'm having problems with evoscan staying connected for more than a few seconds at a time. I've only tried logging a few things. May try some more today or next week, I'm going to see if I can figure out why it's not staying connected.
Evoscan will show diagnostic codes and it should be able to clear them too, however, I tried to clear my cel and nothing happened, this may or may not be due to the cable I am using. However, just pulling the codes with evoscan is so much easier/nicer/better than doing the key dance or having to go to advance.
Total investment thus far, tactrix cable $65 evoscan $20 included in the $325 I paid for this bad boy...

Hopefully I can get this thing working and for <$100 2gnters can have an obd-II scanner and data logger as long as you've got a laptop

Not to dig up a 2 month old thread. But, is there any products out there to use for datalogging besides the pocketlogger(which has been discontinued)or the Zeitronix? I would consider buying the zeitronix but I already have an egt and wideband, and I only really need a datalogger to know if I need to retard the timing on my crane HI-6DI2 ignition when I get my car tuned. I shooting for around 20-22psi on pump gas which is why I have to watch my timing carefully.
