Ok peeps,
What else should i do to the engine while I pull it out for the turbo rebuild. I'm gonna do 10.5:1 compression. I also have a spare head, so i'm going to take the cams and send them out for regrind.I have adjustable cam gears already and a new timing belt. I was wondering is there anything else that needs to be done to the head. Should i do titanium springs and valves. I know about the studs and head gasket from the first post. But should i bother porting and polishing the head, i'v heard bad things about this. Crappy idle and stuff. I'm going for b.o.o.s.t. not an all motor monster on this project. But I also don't want to be at a light and be rough idleing. any help you peeps can give is much appreciated.

Oversized valves, titanium retainers, PT lash adjusters.. There's so many options.

i got a question why oversized valves what will that do and what is the PT lash adjusters and what does it do. I forgot to mention retainers, thanks. If the things will help make good improvements then i will consider doing them but if they don't really do shit i'm not gonna bother. TA

the PT valvetrain is exactly that - the valvetrain from a PT cruizer. It's basically the 2002 spec 420A valvetrain, all the updated and revised parts. Better than what you have stock.. The oversized valves give you the ability to put more air in the cylinder every intake stroke, and get that air out faster every exhaust stroke - It lets the head "breathe" better. Taker advantage of the high flow rate of your stock head. May even help spool and top end. You can get all of this stuff from Howell Automotive. Go see. ;-)
