126566, rusted block any good?
Posted by Babbz413, Jul-10-09 08:54 PM
so when i had my avenger 3 years ago. i swapped out the motor. i thought my parents had scrapped the motor or something but it turns out its still at their house. only thing is, my dad just threw it out back behind the shed, therefore theres rust all over it...coolant spots around the cylinders and everything. it wasnt covered at all.

can this be rebuilt? or is it junk?

3 years of it sitting behind a shed uncovered = junk sorry; 420a blocks are cheap enough as it is just scrap it instead of wasting time and money trying to rebuild that one.

where are you located, the block isnt "junk", just needs a rebuild.... ill take it as a spare, if your just going to throw it out.

Sitting outside for 3 years would just require a thorough rebuild.

When it looks like this however...
