You change anything else recently? I know my car idled really high when I put a new throttle body on and had the bolts too tight. Any major vacuum leak will cause the car to idle high.

This might be revelant to your problem. My had similar problem with her 00 neon everyone she talked to said it something serious but I kept mentioning about the IAC, revs very high. So, I found one at a salavage yard, replaced them and bingo it stopped the high idle.

Try cleaning with the CRC for the sensor, it might be dirty.
