Right now i currently have a 2.5inch ebay intake with cheapy filter. Do you get any gains at all from going to a 3in piping and/or a bigger air filter? will i lose any low end torque? what do any of you guys think about the aem v2 intake is it actually superior to these ebay pipes?

desperate for your guys' advice.

When I was n/a, I really liked the original AEM intake due to it's one piece design. The low-end torque is lost when opening up your exhaust n/a, no back pressure. The more unrestricted air to your intake the better though either way. I cut up my AEM after going turbo, now it's two-piece, but I'm still sucking in cold air from the bumper vent :thumbsup

a pipe is a pipe. The TB is the restrictive bottle neck that is the problem.

Actually it's because you loose exhaust gas velocity.
