126072, Wire off the alternator - Is it (+) or GND? Posted by ez, Jun-13-09 08:53 PM
Quick question: Does the wire that bolts on to the alternator go directly to the positive terminal on the battery, or ground?
I'm NOT talking the plug connector that goes to the alternator. Just the wire that bolts on to it.
I bought a 2g with aftermarket wiring, and forgot to make a note on this single alternator wire.
I *think* it might go straight to the positive terminal of the battery - I recall some sparks I caused one day when I grounded a connection near the alt with my wrench.
EDIT: It's positive.
