How i test ECT sensor? The one that tells are our ECU the temp not the one for the gauge. Im guessing ohms but does anyone know what range it should be in?

You are going to be a lot more descriptive in what sensor you are talking about because your knowledge of sensor acronyms are a little bit off. Are you wondering about your coolant temp sensor or intake air temp sensor?

At 77*F you should get a resistance reading between 9-11k across the two pins on the sensor.

Can I just unplug the sensor wire and use a jumper wire across the two prongs and see if my cooling fan kicks on. My problem is my cooling fan aint coming on but the a/c one is. I checked all fuses and the relay for it. It was working fine before i put this forged motor in it. It has also been sitting for a year before i just finished it. I also checked all wiring to see if i left anything unpluged but its all good. Im thinking i may have a bad fan motor. That is very useful thanks.

so power is being supplied to the fan motor? if all is well, i'd suspect a bad fan motor. If that's so, see if you can source a spare one out. If it works, replace it. That's what i'd do. Mines failed me before in the past.

You would also notice poor idle and gas mileage if your CLT sensor was bad.

Yeah im thinking my fan motor is bad. Ill know friday when I work on it again. Thanks for the info guys.
