Hello, I apologize for the long post, and if it's in the wrong spot please move. Where to begin...I've been lurking on this site since the beginning I think. I have a '97 Eclipse GS 5-speed that I bought new and that I've been talking about adding a turbo to since I bought it. It's not a daily driver.

I had a water pump go out about a year ago and the car has been sitting. I finally decided to rebuild and do the turbo thing. 3 years ago I switched to a MSnS-E setup and have been running fuel ever since (MS1 on a V2.2 board). My plan during this build is to upgrade to a MSII and a v3.0 board for the added injector resolution (running 72lb/hr injectors), IAC control, fan control along with a voltage regulator for the alternator, eventually I'd like to run full standalone.

I live in Missouri and if I drive less than 12K miles biannually I do not have to have an emissions inspection which isn't a problem, but with my luck as soon as I rip out the ECU and wiring they'll change the laws. While I've got the engine out I'd like to remove all unnecessary wiring while still retaining the ability to pass an OBDII emissions inspection.

I plan on running MS controlled fuel again during the break in period after the rebuild. When I do go full standalone I plan to leave the stock CPS, IAC, injector harness, coil, etc connectors in the car but unplugged just in case I need to do an emissions inspection again. I can unplug the MS and plug in the stock ECU, swap out the injectors and disconnect the wastegate and it should pass. Over the last few days I've removed the power steering, A/C and cruise control.

My question, does anyone know if removing the following items (referencing the FSM) will cause OBDII emissions issues? I'm not even sure if some of these are on the car, I don't have ABS or an A/T, so I'm not sure if the wiring is there and not hooked up or if it's already absent.

A-01 (2-B) ABS wheel-speed sensor (right side)
A-08 (2-B) ABS wheel-speed sensor (left side)
A-09X (5) Condenser fan relay (LO) *Will be powered by MS

Not 100% sure on these two, since I don't know from slushboxes, but I can tell you that loss of vehicle speed sensor (VSS) signal in a MTX car WILL trip a CEL.

A-89 (2-B) Input speed sensor <A/T>

ATX cars introduce all kinds of electrical nonsense to the equation. Good luck with a clean install.

It is a MTX, I wasn't sure if they used the same wiring loom in the ATX and MTX cars. If so I was going to remove anything ATX specific.
