At first i wasnt too concerned, but not im getting extremely aggravated. Between my gas mileage and that stupid fuel gauge, im going to go insane. But what the hell is going on with my gas mileage. I'mer seriously getting about 12-13 mpg. running only 93 octane gas from amoco. New plugs,wires,pcv valve. Whats going on here? it probably needs a fuel filter, but i heard that wont affect gas mileage, soo. Any suggestions?

Could be O2 sensors, bad tuning, boost leaks, open air BOV.. Tell me whatcha got and i'll tell you what you shouldn't have ;-)

Hmm well I noticed that my car in hot and humid conditions eats up more gas than usual. I get usually 300 miles to the tank, haha your right our gas gauges suck shit, I wish it were more accurate, haha one second your 3/4 next second your 1/4 POS! :P

EXACTLY The 3/4 to the 1/4 mark takes like 3 seconds. Anyway, It's not open air, no boost leaks that i know of. Another thing is, it was bad gas mileage before i did anything to the car. it was around 11-12 mpg, it got a little better with the new plugs. and a little better with the wires. no noticeable difference from the pcv valve. No CEL light either. Good power. My cruise control has ceased working if that offers any clues. The light turns green and then just shuts off. damn car. anyway...

Boost leak.

Make a pressure tester, check it. I'd clamp it directly to the MAS in place of your filter. Search for "pressure tester" in the turbo forum for details on making one.. real cheap, real easy.

Yeah MY Cruise Cont. quit on me too. Its a 98 GS w/ 40,0000 mi. on it. I do have a Cel. But nothing wrong w/ the engine far as i can tell. I tryied the Key dance but it doesnt work or maybe im doing it wrong... yeah My car is eating up gas too..... weird. should i just take it to satan?

have you checked the oxygen sensors and done a fuel induction?
also, i've been told that a bad fuel filter will hurt gas mileage
