I hate my car some days...
I had a totaly random problem last week and i've been scrathing my brain to try and figure this out.
It was a random cut off but nothing like i've experienced before. (and this car has put me through alot of them) It was a stutterless cutoff as if i just turned the key. I was at 5 G's when it happened.
I figured it was my crank angle sensor because that was the only sensor i hadn't replaced yet. I replaced it with a nice new crank angle and tried to crank it...no dice. I have no spark at the plugs. But i have power to the crank and cam angle sensors well within spec but no power to the coil pack.
So... I have two questions. I tested my coil pack and the terminals came back as out of speck but the towers were in speck. But i wouldn't see how this would change the fact that there is no power to the coil. Should it still get power even if the coil is shot? and 2nd, what else could be wrong? I do hear the relays firing off and its got compression. Its got fuel pressure. I'm at a loss.
I love my car... I love Horsepower... I love reliability... So why do i own a DSM again?

Did you check the ASD relay and why are you posting this in this section?
You bring me lots of confusion sir.

Sorry, i don't mean to be a pain in the ass total annoyance. I really don't.
I figured because it was ECU related this would be a lil more specific to the problem than just general performance.
I can hear the relays fire...the two little boxes over in the corner of the engine bay near the master cylinder, those are the ASD relays right?
I was told by a fellow 2gnter to check over the wires again and follow it to the ECU and beyond...for breaks/cracks...
