Almost ready to set the head on the block, but I see some posts that say to cut the head bolts a few threads on each corner of the block. I bought a set of new head bolts from partsdinosaur.com. Should I cut the 4 corner bolts and how many threads is the average that people cut off and don't have any problems with the head sealing.

I believe I cut 1/4" off of my driver's side rear corner bolt when I changed the head gasket (10 years ago). That is where the leak was. I can't say if it was related to the original bolt bottoming out or if it was the original composite head gasket. In any case, it never leaked again.

this is one of the reasons why I quit buying bolts and went to studs. Worth the money in the long run for reliability/sealability. lol sealabilityyyy a new word

Any reason you decided not to install ARP studs instead of new bolts??

The OP is cutting threads off of his head bolts so that the head seats properly. I was wondering what his reason was for using head bolts instead of using ARP Head Studs on his application.

Cost, Necessity, etc...
