I believe this is unrelated to the problem I have posted in another thread which is why I'm making a new thread. Circled yellow is a connector coming from the passenger side area near the bumper, coming from a series of wires that connect to the turn signal light. It is burnt which is why it looks odd, but there are three wires connecting to it. Please help me identify it! I have a 95 rs so I believe I don't have an evap purge solenoid (please confirm this). Thanks.



Also, is my camshaft position sensor supposed to connect to the valve cover with a solid metal cylinder as circled in yellow below...blue tape is from previous owner.

However the second one IIRC is supposed to be bolted near the starter on the block, it evidently broke off at some point and someone taped it there.

Is that connector is the same little harness as the a/c pressure switch connector? If so, it's your low-coolant sensor connector, though it only has 2 wires. That's just where it looks like it runs from the pic... The cylinder is a noise-cancelling capacitor. Not required, but it's supposed to clean up the signals to the ECM.

Wow, whats funny is that I have my dash light that has the picture of the parthenon(old greek building with pillars) whenever I have my foot on the gas. I thought that was for the coolant overflow, but what should it be connected to? I don't have an overflow resovoir, just the coolant resovoir(unless they are the same).

They are the same, and the sensor is located on the bottom. You can just pull the container up (it's just slipped on a piece of metal) to check out the sensor. The connector should be attached to the vehicle-front side of it.

The little barrel is just a suppresor device for radio interference. It is normally attatched to the block by the starter. Don't even need it (I don't have one on two of my cars) but you can move it back down to block.

The "Partheon" is your coolant system. I'm a little confused about what you have and don't have. You need the coolant overflow bottle, otherwise the system will not be able to expand (or you will end up low coolant because it has leaked out all over the ground at one point. Thus causing the Partheon to appear).

Best bet is to take a pic of the passenger side area in your engine bay, so we can see whats going on with the top of the thermostat housing and the coolant bottle.

Ok, looks like I don't have the overflow bottle with the sensor attached, which is why I have my leftover connector. Ebay has one for sale for $100, which seems rediculous. Any recommendations of where to buy a replacement? Thanks for your replies guys, I appreciate it.

Some years came with Overflow reservoirs that had the low coolant sensor, and some years didn't.

I've found that 95/96's came with the sensor, while the 97+ didn't.

The sensor tends to be a leaky bitch too.

on 95 eclipses that suppressor is supposed to be on the valve cover not that is matters just one more thing that makes the 95 almost impossable to get accurate information on.
