123920, My Ebay Catback

Got it in like 4 days from California. Total price was $175 shipped. I must say I am quite impressed for what I paid. There is a crazy ass baffle silencer on it too. Im waiting for all the snow to melt before I install it. But I have a feeling that huge ass can of a muffler will be replaced with my Borla. But I will see what it sounds like first.

This is the Tsudo N1 knock off, 2.5" full stainless. Dont ask me what SR-S is, I have no idea..

I've heard a few guys around here say that they liked the sound of the Tsudo N1 quite a bit

That looks like the same muffler I got with my system except it looks like you got an adjustable silencer. Mine is just on or off and WAY too loud off. I did get a nice low rumble with the baffel on though.

Im hoping its not too loud. I want that deep rumble but I also dont want it to sound like shit when Im on it at 6k. I would think, though, with a catalytic converter, resonator, and 2.5" piping, it shouldnt be too loud right?

Looks like mine minus the silencer thing. Mine is also 3" piping instead of 2.5".

I have actually been eyeing one of these for a cheap setup versus getting one made. The thing that actually holds me back is fitment with these. You will definately have to let me know how it sounds and fit.

Looks good though. :thumbsup

I have a Tsudo N1 with no cat and megan headers. Its not that loud in my oppinion. I though it would be, but my fart can on stock pipes was louder. The N1 sounds like sex though...can't wait to put a built head or something on...

Fitment and quality are excellent. And it doesn't scrub...that's a biggie for me.
I love my car...
I love Horsepower...
I love reliability...
So why do i own a DSM again?

Anyone have a pic of their N1 setup? (sorry for 'hijacking the thread' so to speak) Are these ebay setups durable?

No idea if my ebay exhaust (the headers to the muffler) is long term durable. It's only a couple months old at best. It's made of the same gauge same materials as the name brand stuff and all the welds looked tits. Only time will tell.

So I got the tsudo 2.5 and was having some trouble getting the muffler part on. The way that the flange is(like a pentagon), it seems like you have to get the car on a lift to get the pipe over the rear cross member and next to the spare tire space. Did anyone manage to get it on while the car was on the ground? Everything else bolted up perfectly and its hooked up to some megan headers. I drove to work today without the muffler on, sounds like a harley :)

Actually, now that you mention it, if you have a lift or a way to get the rear up quite a bit, it will slide in no problem. If you dont, you will have to beat in your trunk area a bit and fanangle it in there. Its possible, but much easier with a lift.

Thanks for info. I already got an apt. at a shop tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy. Like the making room idea but ive been hammering on my car enough over last couple weeks.

I've got the 3" version. I got it on through the axle with it on the car. It wasn't anywhere as hard as I thought it'd be. I just jacked the back up as high as my jack stands would go and spun the muffler until the flange slid in and smooth sailing from there. You have to warm it up before you shove it in. :D

So I took it into the shop(Bennetts in Middleton WI) and waited around while they did it. I had been sitting around reading magazines for 45min and then the guy was like "its taking a while because he had heat up the hangers and bend them so it wouldn't hit the spare tire well". And they charged me a full hour labor.
WTF! This is exactly why I don't trust anybody to work on my car.
He said they made it hang down about an extra inch, and since my car is slightly lowered(eibachs), the muffler barely scrapes when I pull into my driveway. Also the piping has maybe under a half inch of play with the rubber hangers, its tight.
I really can't believe that the fit would be that bad, and I think they were just dicking me around for a couple bucks.
I'll try and post a pic up so I can see if I should take it back and tell them to try again. The fact that they didn't even say anything to me while I was sitting there really pisses me off. Especially since they knew I put the rest of the exhaust on...
