i found a 420a out of a neon that is already built and the guy needs money pretty bad now. will it work in my 97 eclipse. if so what is needed?

No. The only thing you can use is the block. The head is different.

I just have to throw this in here because of my weird fascinations with Skittles...
Neon DOHC motor is a D4RE!
And +1 for bullett, just the bottom end will work.
