I thought I would share my most recent dyno video. This was an initial tune with a stand alone Megasquirt ECU. I did drop from 280
hp to 240 hp but my torque went from 260 to 300.

More to come..

God I can't wait till i get a turbo. the Sylvia conversion is beatuiful BTW. Looked like it was getting a little squirrly on the dyno. nice. what pressures where you playing with for the 240 HP?

Hey, thanks! First time I've seen one on a dyno-very interesting.

Do a search on youtube for 420a and dyno. You will see awddynamite's 400+hp pull among others.

I have some alignment issues that need to be addressed.

With stock timing I was getting 280 hp at 12 lbs of boost. The timing on the MS is more conservative so it took 18 lbs of boost for 245 hp but we got a lot more torque.

What kind of engine mounts do you have? Seems like the engine is moving around alot, but it could be that I just haven't seen mine running in a long time too. :(

Good video image quality and numbers.
Would an oem cf hood fit with those headlights, I like the aggressive and different look.

Thanks for the props. A stock hood will not work with a Silvia headlight conversion. The headlight conversion was very complicated. The hood had to be extended and reshaped as well as the front bumper and fenders. I had to have it redone 3 times at a cost of $6K before it looked that good. I would not do it again nor would I suggest anyone else doing it. The age where people appreciated headlight conversions is long gone. You are better off with your stock headlights. I am actually considering going back to stock. They will not put cars with headlight conversions ,especially Silvia, in mags anymore.

Wow, 6k cf hood reshape eek I'll keep it stock, was thinking about doing same HD light conversion on my white eclipse to give a different look. Thanks for the heads up about info you done to yours.

I am using prothane engine mounts. I don't remember th manufacturer. The car is moving a lot on the dyno. When the torque started increasing as it was tuned we lost grip with the dyno and it created issues in addition to alignment concerns.

nice vid. reminds me of mine. i always cringe at high rpms waiting for something bad to happen. love the 3rd gear pulls.

curiosity if you'll endulge us - what sort of timing are you looking at for 18lbs redline since you said it was very conservative?

I saw the pics of the conversion, looks like a royal PITA. But if you wanna go back stock, I have a stock hood, fenders, bumper and headlights if you wanna trade even :P

I would but the fenders are glassed in and removing them and swapping would require for me to paint most of the car. I have some performance goals that are keeping me from spending any cash on the body.
