As the title says, even after a short drive I'll check the bolt and it will be loose, even if I just tightened it down. So the options I can think of are either put a lock washer on it, put locktite on it, or chase the threads with a tap. I don't think the locktite will hold up to the heat, but I guess it couldn't hurt to try. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

Properly torque it for starters. If that doesn't hold it (it will) then use loctite and a lockwasher.

I did properly torque it, it vibrates loose everytime. I'll try out the lock washer and loctite though. Going to order a new turbonetics manifold today :)

I'm not sure but I think the heat might basically make a lock washer a normal washer with a slit in it. :shrug

Do you have a flex section in your DP?

Yeah, I do. I think the bolt comes loose now because I overtightened it once.

Use serrated stainless steel lock washers and you'll never have a problem.

+3 for the studs/nuts/lock washers
theyre 8mm studs, you can get them at a good hardware store, just make sure theyre heat treated. or like ^^ said, the stock 4g63 manifold studs work great.

Ahh good thinking guys, a stud and nut should stop the problem also. Thanks for the help.
