I've noticed that there's quite a bit of slack in my throttle cable, I'd like the remove some of that, is this possible? I ask because sometimes if I've got the muzak-a-blastin' and I can barely hear the engine, I end up not giving it enough juice and it will stutter a bit.

Tup the exact procedue is under 2gnt.com in the Mods section. You basically just loosen those two 10mm bolts, and slide that plate over.

I don't remember how the mod is written up but I think there is a lot of little adjustments they suggest.
I have a better way to adjust the throttle plate. If you have a friend, loosen the bolts and have him put the pedal all the way down and then slide the plate back as far as it will go and tighten down. I used a long block of wood and wedged the pedal down. I had the intake off and mine had no problems coming completely closed.
