I recently purchased 2 faze gauges for my eclipse nt RS. A voltage gauge and a fuel/air gauge... I was told that you can simply hook up the voltage gauge by going off the battery or for that any 12v source... but my question is about the fuel air gauge, where do you tie into to connect this gauge... thanks again guys

If I remembered I'd tell ya, but since I don't I'm gonna give you a little advice:

a/f hooks up to pin 20(02) on the ecu i believe . white wire with black stripe

The volt gauge will need to be wired to a switched source like the cigarette lighter.

There. Fixed it for you. Sarcasm will get you a lot less information. Often times "new guys" will not be aware of that function. I believe that was the point that cs82685 was trying to get across.

That, and if you had searched and not red-lit on the posting, you would have found what you were looking for.

The white-black wire you're looking for can also be tapped into directly after the plug from the front o2 sensor.

hey I wasn't tryin to be a dick, but what cougar said is true, if you searched and looked at more than the first post you would have found your answer in less time than it would have taken you to post the question, here's two examples I just pulled from searching for: a/f gauge install

i did look for a post on the A/F gauge install on the mod list on the home page, but it wasnt there, and I also tried to scim though several posts to figure it out but some explanations were too hazy and refered to the Turbo ECU. I know you can simply tie into the O2 sensor but i wanted to come off the ecu... I just know that everyone wants to flame everyone else or thinks they know more than the oter... I thought the whole idea of a 2gnt forum was to help other people with their eclipse/talon questions or to get advice, ... There is no need to post something like that espically if it is something simple.. or assuming that to pre work was done... Need to get off your high horse bro, its just a car. Thanks

He came right out and said he didn't know. He made the suggestion that maybe you should try using the search, because your question probibly has been answered at least 100 times before this, and by searching you would probibly get your answer sooner than if someone who knew the answer just happened to stumble across your thread. You'll find that people here tend to get up on their "high horses" when faced with ignorance. Everyone here was the 'new guy' at one time or another, and we all got told the same thing the first time we posted a question. Search. If you throw something our way that we haven't seen before, there is a number of VERY knowledgable people here who would be happy to help you out. And to clarify, as i understand it, the 'whole purpose of this 2gnt forum' is to be a point of reference. If you have a question, search. This site is archived very well, and you can find at least an hours worth of reading on pretty much any subject pertaining to these cars. If after reading through all the old posts, you still have a question, then by all means, feel free to post. Generally, new members who "come out swingin'" get very little respect, where as members who read up on all the 'little things' that you come across when you first get into modifying your car, and show a little respect towards other members, almost always get it in return. Its food for thought, anyways.

As i said I apologize for coming off so harsh, but if you dont have the answer to my question, there is no need to tell me to search more. I used the main page under mods where a link was the but not active, I then tried to skim to a fistful of threads to try to get an idea, And i simply posted to confirm. I dont feel that members get up at arms with people due to ignorance, But the fact that most members gut respose is that anone who doesnt know is in fact ignorant- whereas they simply arent informed, or that they never orked with it before. I dont feel for one second that a person is ignorant simply because a question was asked. You sholdnt assume that anyone posting on this site is a 16 year old who is simply asking for help to save him/her time. Usually there is a reason, which I decided to have someone else who might have more experience help me with. But like I said, thats just how I see it.

Granted, however when one asks an extremely common question, such as this, and then claims they searched, we tend to doubt them. Here's why.

I just did a search: "a/f guage" entire forum, by subject only.
