Do you have a CEL on? Maybe your IAC is bad like mine.

have u checked your plugs, or the resistance on your wires?
my idle flops around also since i installed the bored t/b.

im usually inbetween 600 and 1k rpms at a light.

well i always check my plugs even when i put new spark plugs before it did the same thing after some time... also 6 months ago i changed my wire to another set of stock ones and it did the same thing and recently i changed it to the crane 8.5 wires same thing.. i have a feeling it has to do with the afx bored tb? my cousin had his done by mutiny back in the day along with his manifold but his car idles fine as far as i know...

Naw Mike, I still have my idling problem from time to time. Since you took off the AF/X pulley, your idle should be fine now. I believe mine is still a little bad because of the pulley and/or belts. My car does from time to time die at idle so our problem coudl be a bad IAC (idle air control valve). I'll have to look more into it after some troubleshooting when I have some time off school.

Ya anytime you have any sort of air leak or bad IAC your idle will be bad. If air is leaking into your throttle body at idle, it may be tripping out the sensors because it gets more air than it wants, so it may be trying to fix it. A few people had problems wiht the AFX bored throttle body on their manual cars too.

Well if it started after the afx tb then that's probably the problem. Check that the butterfly plate is closed completely at idle. I think someone said that they had a 1 to 2 mm gap so it wasn't closed all the way no matter what...

Make sure you didn't pinch one of the o rings around the TPS or IAC when you installed the TB, that can set a bad idle. Other than that MAP sensor could be causing problems as well. But check all your sensors, and the throttle plate, should actually sit at a slight angle not completely vertical... just a few degrees.

Another sensor the ECU used to set fuel is the coolant temp sensor. Make sure there are no leaks at the TB to manifold and all vaccuum lines are intact and not leaking.

If you still have your stock TB try to swap it back and see if there are any problems.
