12242, NT trannies compared to turbo gst tranny Posted by jwood, Jan-16-02 10:03 AM
ok guys i have a 95 NT first off. i am on my second tranny. i shot a barring out of mine. i was wondering is the gst tranny stronger conisdering it is for a turbo. i mean i know you cant just swap trannies. but what could i do to build a NT tranny up to hold up to more hpwr? are there any upgraded gears/barrings/shafts ext. that i could buy to make it stronger? or could i some how use the turbo parts in my tranny?

HRC is pushing over 450 HP with just a clutch upgrade on their Stage 5 turbo RS with no tranny problems that I have heard of.
None of the parts from the Mitsu trannys for the turboed eclipses will work with our Chrysler trannys.
