Uh, I'm having a tough time with the central 6 bolts.

The socket keeps slipping and I'm using a 15mm.

I've opted not to continue further. I've searched the archives and stuff on things to help me with, but with no avail.

Am I using the right socket? Any tips?

Are you using a bolt head stripper or a normal socket? 12 point socket or 6 point.

If you are using a 12, STOP!!! But then again that is me, I refuse to use 12 point sockets on anything critical because they do tend to strip stuff.

If one doesn't work, try another size, the worst that will happen is it won't fit.

Yea, I guess I don't have a 15mm with 6 sides. I got the far 4 out with the same socket.

My dad has now informed me that two of the bolt heads are stripped. :(

Use a Craftsman short 3/8" 15mm. I bought an exra for about 3-4 bucks. I use that and a wobble extension with a small breaker bar. No probs. Don't fret about the stripped ones. Just pop out the cam (or both depending on your bolts) and go slow getting out the last couple. Cam caps use 8mm and 10mm I believe. I probably would NOT use a torch to help the stuck ones. Um, my cams are already out.

I bought a new 6 sided socket today. I'll keep you posted.

Wow, the 6 point worked like a charm. Points.

Now I just have to find the bolts on the brackets to pull it out with the mani. :\

How's it coming along?

You just putting stock head bolts back in?

It's going good. One thing is holding it back from pulling it up now and I tracked it back to a bundle of wires intertewined in the IM.

No, I'm not reusing them. I got some from Napa.
