122076, code P0113
Posted by baxsom, Jul-13-06 07:32 PM
So today after a month of waiting for my turbo to come back from Hahn I get it on and running.

Engine is nice and smooth but it throws this code which looks up as IAT sensor voltage high

what does that mean
too hot
too cold

better yet how do I fix it

After I searched I came up with.

"Trace the wire and look for nicks/cuts/burns from egr". I would start there and make sure the wire is ok. Especially if the car is running fine.

i found that post when i was searching around, the IAT wires look ok
as far as i could trace them i did replace the sensor not too long ago though
right before i found out the turbo was shot as a matter of fact so the new one may have been crap

of course since my turbo was blowing oil like a madman through the intake piping it could have crudded up the sensor as well

guess its time to get the tools out

ive had this code 3 times since i had my car, and replaced the sensor itself all 3, code went away each time. the last time i had to replace it was over a month ago, it turns out, the little sensor thing inside of the little cage broke, therefore, not allowing it to work. they should only be like 10-15 dollars at autozone

It's good to see you finally getting to answer some questions. :thumbsup

Be thankful the IAT is an easy sensor to get to, sir. ;)

yeah, i finally got some time to go look at it
here in san antonio is was 100 today so the idea of being under the hood of a car just didnt appeal to me until the sun went down.

when i pulled the sensor out it was covered in oil.
since my turbo was blowing oil like a madman before i had it rebuilt it really isnt a suprise.

1 new sensor later and the CEL is off for now at least

on a different note. gotta reset my boost controller now. the old setting with the old turbo have the boost about 4 psi more than they used to be. i am assuming it is because this turbo actually works correctly
