Ok I have read a lot about water/white smoke from the tailpipe and know that some condensation is normal but how much is normal.
When I first crank my car it smokes white, and drips clear water out the pipe. I dont smell coolant, I dont smell oil but none the less its a little unnerving to see it and when I rev the engine it leaves a streak of clear water and carbon on the driveway about a foot long.

I did a coolant change and it was dark but it had been in there for 2 years and after two weeks no oil has seperated out of it. I did an oil change and didnt see any coolant in it.

I think I am getting paranoid.

your just paranoid, the more water the better your catalytic convertor is functioning. Well as long as its just water

yea u smoke to much weed most likely lol its normal mine does the same thing untill its warmed up .

but its been over two weeks with this car with nothing bad wrong.
at first i was like no problem everyone says that this is normal but geez i filled two shot glasses with clear water out of it.

and in case anyone is wondering, yes i did taste it and no it didnt taste like coolant.

now that i think about it, maybe i have been hitting the stuff a little too hard.

If it is really dripping a lot you might want to get the cat changed out. My cat went bad on me and it was pouring white steam out. My eyes burned from the smell too. I had a lot of water dripping from every signle flange on the exhaust. Changed the cat out, no more water.

Dont forget water is a byproduct of combustion... hydrocarbon + oxygen -> water + CO2

Yes, I don't see anything dripping or steam from my car even when I first start it when it is warm outside. Now when it is colder sometimes I see some water/steam when you first start it up, but unelss it is really cold out it should disappear when your engine warms up.

lets put it this way
today it was 95 in san antonio
i cranked the car and backed it down the driveway from the garage to the street and it left a trail of water all the way down.


No coolant smell still and with the exception of the oil in the turbine coupler no oil burning. This is just wierd.

It's pretty common here, our humidity has been battling Houston the last few weeks. My mustang was like that before prochamber install.

I was afraid it had something to do with the blown turbo seals. Yep they are gone gone gone. Oil in the intake piping, oil in the air filter and when I did a boost leak I heard air hissing inside the turbine.

Gotta call hahn today and get a rebuild kit.
