allright im looking for a part # for the NGK iridium IX plugs for our car... one range colder than stock... ive tried calling every parts store around, and either they dont stock NGK's or they have no clue what the hell one range colder than stock is so they say they cant get them...carquest was the only place who knew anything and the #'s from the NGK site didnt cross over into anything but the stock plug...and i did search, but i didnt find much relating to what i need.. cuz i want the plug for nitrous use, and all i got was what ppl are using for turbo.. HELP ME!!!!!!

You don't want iridium sparkplugs. Any alloy or element that ends in "-um" is essentially a gimmick, or in short, crap.

Order some NGK BKR7E's or some NGK 1283's online and call it good. Get 12 or 16.

If you want 1 range colder than stock, then add (+) 1 to the digit in the part number for the stock plug.

I am not surprised the auto parts counter monkeys didn't know that... I used to be one, and we're mostly morons. But if you want to dissect each number/letter for the NGK part number it explains exactly how to do that in the back of the NGK Catalog. The numeric value refers to the heat range. Add (+1) for 1 range colder, subtract (-1) for 1 range hotter.
