Hey Guys,

So a day ago, I decided to fill up my coolant overflow bottle/radiator with some distilled water since it was a little low/empty.

Being the boost BANME! that I am... I went for a drive today, boosted harder/longer than normal today, and came home, then noticed it boiling over and leaving a puddle on the ground...

Ops, did I fill too much? Alot more seemed to come out than what I put in though... And is this normal? Both rad fans are going on when they are supposed to and Im running a fluidyne radiator. I dont have a water temp gauge, but the stock one never went above mid.

I hope im not overheating and warping my block...

*EDIT: I just checked the level after it cooled down, the overflow bottle is empty, and where the rad cap is looks empty... i just filled it up again, but not as much this time.

I was looking into getting a new bottle just today because mine has a slight crack in it.

Ya thats what i meant... but regardless, overheating not a good thing.

Its just making sure there are no air pockets in the system. I had the same problem as you when i did my flush a couple weeks ago... the temp gauge never went past 50%, but after i parked it I could hear the overflow bubbling/boiling. if you hear water trickling when you start the car cold, you might have an air pocket.

When the car's cold, open the radiator cap, put a funnel there and continue adding water as necessary. Let the car warm up to operating temp so the thermostat opens. Keep adding water as necessary to the funnel. All the air should bleed out as the coolant cycles.

Ok, I'll try that thanks... I'll also try replacing the rad cap.

Sounds like a blown HG.

I took my car to the shop and they tested my rad system for leaks. Holds 15lbs no problems.

Then they tested my rad cap... it held 2lbs. :P
