After having it off for I think a couple years now, and I don't like it.

Air conditioning is nice though.

That is all.

I bet it feels twitchy in parking lots, but I hear ya on the AC. I wish I could use mine. Fucking 91 octane knock juice... x(

word, car feels hard to control whenever actually using power steering haha. I got used to the pain in the ass turning tight radius nonsense, and enjoy the firm control when going faster.

My car felt like it reverted back to stock when I hooked up the power steering. I was so disappointed.

I'm glad that you posted this thread Matt. I had been thinking about putting my PS belt back on...and now I'm not going to.

Now we should discuss for those who choose not to run PS...about removing the entire PS system. Might as well try to free up space and shed a little weight heh.

Interested to see what parasitic losses the PS pump creates. Wonder if anyone would be willing to, the next time they go to the dyno, do a pull with PS and one w/o PS. That would be a decent way to see what kind of loss we are really talking about.

I've been wanting to go back to no power steering, but not having AC would kill me. It's been in the high 90's here with very very high humidity, and I work outside, so going from hot to hotter in my car wouldn't make my drive home very fun. It wouldn't be so bad if both of my windows would roll down, lol.

Heh, I've been thinking about putting the P/S back in for auto-x, the thing is I completely removed it, lines and all (which the steering gets easier when you don't have to manually pump all that fluid). I think this thread has made me decide no P/S ever again.

Anybody here ever auto-x without P/S?

P.S. What's A/C?
