121808, Does anyone have pics of stock injectors?
Posted by Venz, Jul-03-06 09:06 PM
I had my stock injectors replaced with Accels, the funny thing is
I m not sure if the mechnic actually replaced it, because when Ilook into my fuel rail the injector is black.

which is unlike the accel injectors which have yellow on them:

so does anyone have pic of stock 420a injectors? or any idea what it looks like? mines look like this right now:

not all Accell injectors are yellow but most are. Our facotry injectors look exactly liek accel injectors but they are all black. The only way to know for sure is to pull the injector out and look for the ID marks on the top of the injector on the side. There will be numbers molded into the plastic.

Well your mechanic did replace them, the one you circled is not the stock style. So it was replaced, not with Accell, but some other Bosch style injector. Terry's right, you would have to pull them and run part numbers to find out.

Go that way, really fast, if something gets in your way... turn.

there is some numbers on the side molded that i can see without pulling the injectors out.

HHMMN, that number does not appear to come up as a stock number for accel. Doesnt mean its not though. what size was supposed to be installed? If we can find someone who has the same size accel injectors and they can check the same molding number.

He is suppose to install 270cc or 26#(?) for me, on the invoice he listed the part as 150126 which seems to be legit. but its a whole different story on the injector itself... (0101087)

Looks like you will have to physically pull them out to confirm. OEM injectors have a yellow pintle cap on them. I believe the rest of the body is black. I had my doubts when my so call mechanic back in the days installed 270cc from RC, until I peaked down there and saw 270 imprinted on the side with RC logo.

When in doubt, pull it out... :P

dont i have to remove fuel rail and intake mani to pull out the injectors?

It is do-able without having to remove the intake manifold. Just have to be careful. Others will probably tell you to remove the upper half of the manifold. Certainly will make it easier.

this yellow [pindle cap you're talking about is it at the tip where the injector sprays, or is it at the top where the connector is?
