121656, Help 1998 eclipse rs wont start

Hi, My girlfriend has a 98 eclipse rs automatic, she parked it for about a week and when she needed the car it started for like 10 seconds and then it died. I checked it that night to see if I could figure out what was wrong with it and I narrowed it down to what I thought was the fuel pump. After I put the new pump in the car still wont start and I later found that there was nothing wrong with the old pump. I dont hear the pump prime or anything when you turn on the key. I dont have any blown fuses, I've checked every one twice. Does anyone know what would cause the fuel pump to not get power? Thanks, Damon

If you aren't hearing the fuel pump prime it could very well be the relay. I noticed you checked all the fuses, but you may have forgotten about these.

Thanks for the heads up on those relays. Do you happen to know which one controls fuel and which one is for spark? I pray that her car doesn't need a new ecu, now that I think about it I think I heard one of the relays click when you try to start the car.

Just to clarify, let me make sure I have this right, the green relay is for the fuel pump. Also known by autozone as the MR76 Part# aka the radio shack version is 275-226? Am I getting this right? Thanks a million for all the help guys. I really want to get this car back on the road.

It turned out that it was the fuel pump relay. I went to radio shack on friday and picked up the 277-226 relay and it works perfect. Thanks for all the responces. Thanks, damon
