Guys,Im stumped.I just got my car back Tuesday, due to the oil galley plug leaking..For those who dont know I just had my motor totally rebuilt.And after my 500 mile oil change,my galley plug suddenly started to leak.My shop gave me a warranty so it was no problem.Except for the fact they had to tear my car apart,due the the location of the plug(between my block and tranny)They said they hadn't seen that before,but replaced it without a complaint.Well, I just got my car back 2 days ago and when I pulled in my garage tonight I smelt that oil burning smell again.I looked under my car and oil is leaking out the same place it was before but this time, twice as much.Its blown back the length of my car..WTF!!!!!!!!
Has anybody had this problem before??I dont understand.I'll bring the SOB back to the shop in the morning AGAIN(Im sorry,I didn't mean to call her that)But I dont think they will be to happy to see me..Oh well!!In the meantime,if anybody has any kind of insight on this,Please help..I just got my car the way I wanted it,And Im feeling like I made a mistake.I dont want to sell it,But up until the rebuild the car NEVER gave me ANY problems.Now,its every-other day.Is this what I can expect after rebuilding it???Ive only put about 650 miles on it and this will be the second time back to the shop..HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! :wallbash

Never seen that but ask them to just tap it and install a NPT plug in it.

Typing in all caps is seen as either "YELLING" or laziness to use the shift key. Many people find it offensive, just like typing in all lowercase with no puncuation (ala today's text message raised youth).

His sig. line was not directed at you.
I believe it was a comment heard at the Shootout complaining about those who build up the 420A motors instead of "selling it and buying a turbo".

Hang in there. Don't let an oil leak ruin your fun. Stay on the shop guys and if it's the same plug leaking, get it tapped and plugged.

Thanks for your info about caps.I will make sure that I use proper puncuation as well.I wasn't yelling or being lazy,also I didnt realize that was his signiture. but sorry if I offended anyone.I just got off the phone with my shop and they cant touch it until Mon.I'll bring it down then.Rather here in my garage than in his parking lot..I will ask them to tap if its the same problem,But if it is,its leaking alot more oil.As soon as I start it and let it idle,it starts to drip..I guess it could be the rear main seal..idunno..Even my rear wheels are spattered with oil on the inside.:wtf

Dude. No worries. My head gasket has been leaking for over a year now. I lose a quart of oil every 400 miles. Guess where it ends up? That's right - all over the bottom of my car. I have a 1/8" oil sludge all along the rocker panel on the passenger side of my car. It's starting to lap up into the rear wheel well on that side. The oil is also starting to creep over the top of the transmission bell housing. That's nasty business, but I keep up on the oil level and check my oil pressure gauge more often than my speedo, to make sure I've still got pressure.

You will be fine. Just ask them to tap it for an NPT fitting and you will be good. That's the norm in this community.

Have you ever been able to pinpont it?? :scratch What have you gotten for an explanation?? Also is that the chrysler engine, Cause it looks like a GSX with a Mitsubishi engine??

About my leak, it's most likely the oil pan. I've pulled my motor out like 4 times thinking it was the rear main, but I don't think my oil pan is sealing well because of two seized bolts. I'll fix it when I'm not too lazy. As for you, my guess would be rear main.
