120892, new exhaust, its in

I know, I know this thread is usless with out pic or sound. That will be taken care of in the next few days.

Its a cheap knockoff of the Tanabe Medalion I got on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AME WA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320028713158&rd=1,1

It sounds AWSOME! It got a nice deep tone and its to not loud at all. It comes with one of those ugly silencer assemblies. I have it out and its perfect. With the silencer installed, it sounds like factory exhaust. I still have the factory cat, and it is not gutted.

I figured for the price I would give it a try. The fit and finish is amazing. All of the piping is mirror polished. The flanges are nice and heavy, comes with all the hardware needed. It went into the car wtih out a hitch. I just have to adjust one hanger slightly because it will sometimes hit the the rear crossmember on big bumps. All in all I am very happy with what I recived and I recomend it.

Before I gat crap for having a 3" exhaust, I am building a new motor, and yeah its boosted.

Sounds pretty good man, does that exhaust route over or under the rear axle?

I think he just simply misunderstood.

So, he's building it, and it's not in yet.

Sounds good btw.

-pretty much. I dont konw if I can really say I am building it, I have a block and I head. They are torn down and waiting to go to the machine shop. Im not going to send them to the machind shop until I get my turbo. I bought one but there was a problem. I guess the person I paid decieded to keep the turbo and my money. In the process of a mail fraud claim/ so its going to take some time.

Thank you for being intelligent. :wavy

Sounds good, Tom. Reason I mention it is, turbos have a way of magically transforming even the shittiest of exhaust systems into sweet, sweet music to your ears. You can run a turbo car without a muffler some times, they work so well at chopping up undesireable sound waves. :thumbsup

I wanty. :-( Gotta pay off the trans and then I think I might pick one of these up. If it sounds that good N/A, imagine what it'll sound boosted.

thanks guys, I am happy with it for now. I am sure I be much more happy after I put the new motor in.

Liek I said I get a bit of drone on the highway but its not that bad. Ill try that silencer and see what that does.

sounds good man. by the way, what is "drone"? i have a GST catback and i likey it alot :) 'cept i think the tips are too small for the hole that the bumper has (also when the engine is cold, it gets a bit raspy at hi-rpms). I just dont like (on the style that you have) the fact that they point sideways, and..well they just look "too exagerated" or unatural on our cars. i must just be a stock freak tho. :thumbsup

P.S. I just got my Rear drum-to-disc conv. parts! hurray!

I have my rear drum to disc conversion sitting in my living room, between my welder and the new head for the car. Ill eventually get the time to install.

I would agree with that it does not look natural on the car, but for the money, I am not going to bitch about it.

As for the drone, its the sound of the engine exhaust resonating up though the car.

my exhaust sounded like a v6 (like a g35) when my turbo spooled up past 3psi. it'll sound sweet, and the exhaust sound'll be addicting... you'll eventually get used to it though :)
