Its been raining alot here in pa, and i almost hydrolock the eagle, it didnt stall so i pulled over and rip the damn thing out, iam putting the stock one back in for now with. Iam going turbo in a couple of weeks so it doesnt matter. i like my car to much to loose it over the damn intake. That was scary :-(

Just cut it in half like I did, you learn your lesson after a hydrolock $$

I think im going to use the smaller pipe from the intake for my ram air for the turbo.

ya, i like my hot air intake.

I had a CAI, and ended up cutting it up to move the filter up.

I want to cut up the rest of the piping, and move the filter alittle lower than it is. The filter is almost touching the hood right now, lol. But it works.

I feel ya man. I had my CAI on and was going to my friends house friday to start my turbo install. It was pouring and roads were flooded, I was afriad I was gonna hydrolock my engine again right before the install. I didnt though and now that thing is off forever.

hey, know the feeling... i live here in northeastern pa myself... had to take it off and put the stock one back on quite a few times... looking on the bright side, i could do it in my sleep with one hand tied behind my back within two minutes :)

i have an AEM cai and i bought their bypass valve for it. i didnt install it yet, but essentially, you cut the intake in half, then put each end in the side of the valve and put it back on. that way if any water gets in, the difference in suction will make the breather flaps on the bypass valve open up and take air from there instead. also, to be extra careful, when it's raining, just disconnect the bypass valve and bottom half of the cai as one piece, and put a spare filter on the end of the top half.

haha i live right outside reading pa and today it was raining...but instead of having a "i took mine off story" i have a i hydrolocked story. I was only in second at like 2300 and went through the puddle and it stalled out so my qu is, well probably first where should i post a thread on what to do? and if theres water in cyl 1 and i suck it out will it start up and run like b4? or will i have other problems, i didnt get it home yet and the water has been sitting in there from 7am and its 2pm, any info on what i should do is helpfull and if any1 has some perf stuff and my engine needs to be rebuilt, send me a message thanks
