120592, Ignition issues!! ECU, Relay's, switches WTF???? Posted by Kirby, Dec-04-06 05:14 AM
I can't figure this one out guy's need some help. I have MS but my stock ecu is still running all things ignition related. A few weeks ago my apexi TT volt meter started flipping out on me. I got in the car to start it and the TT was blinking rapidly as if it was not getting constant power. I went to start the car and it would crank fine but would not start. I switched the tt over to voltage to check the voltage and it was saying the system only had 7 volts of juice. I knew that was wrong because the car won't crank that low. I tried to start it again and it started right up but the volts were still reading around 7-8 volts even with the engine running. So I checked my cap in the trunk with the subs and it was reading 12-13 volts like it should, and the MS was showing full voltage through MegaTune. I figured the TT was just acting crazy and it would be fine next start. For the next several days it did the same thing, and has been doing so ever since, there is no ryme or reason to it, sometimes it starts and sometimes it does not. I'm not getting any codes from the ECU except the usual for inj1-4 and o2 reading high due to the squirt. The TT is installed using a harness so I started checking the wireing and even with the TT disconeccted the car will not start, it will crank all day but won't start. During my testing I noticed a high pitched whine from the ECU when the car is in the on position. The only things not stock in the ignition circut are the TT and the alarm system theI know it's not the starter kill from the alarm or the car would not crank. Anyone have any ideas? Also forgot to mention that right now the TT is getting partial power now even with the key off, so I don't know WTF is going on here...

Could be that the TT is bad. Go over all the wiring for it, and if you don't find anything you might want to try and get a hold of another one to see if it is bad.

I already took the TT out and the car still does not start. I pulled the harness for the TT and put the wireing back to stock. Still won't start...
