Well the motor buildis under way. I am totally stoked, and I cant wait until spring to get it in the car.

Heres whats going in.

Block-

JE pistons, 8.8:1
H beam rods
ARP head and bed plate studs

Head-
MLS head gasket
+1mm ss valves
Ti valve retainers
springs
rockers and lifter from the 2.4 PT
Crane 0014s
P&P (fairly conservitive)

"bolt ons"
t3/t4 60 trim
SR mani
Tial 38mm wastegate
Greddy Type S BOV)
60 MM TB
MSD DIS II
Hahn port fueler
26x8x3 FMIC
2 1/2 IC piping
and a new clutch

when I recover from all of this, an LSD and some beefy shafts

I figure that I sould be safe running somewhere betwwen 15 and 20 psi.

the guy at the machine shop is really interested in this aswell. He has little experience with little motors, but hes been building huge drag motors for over 40 years. I have all the faith in the world with this guy/shop and his work. They have some nice equipment and some HUGE motors, and 40+ years of building forced induction race motors. What a nice shop. This is the 3rd shop I talked to, the first two refered me to this guy. I called him up and talked a bit on the phone. He asked me to come down and check out the shop. I went, got the .50 cent tour, BSed with him and the guys that work there. They were imediatly on the internet tring to get as much info ALL of the parts I am putting in the car. Trust me when I say all of the parts. This guy has a folder with my name on it containing about 50 pages of info on my build.

I cant wait until I have to money to finish her all up and get all this in the car.

The shop is taking care of the head and block blueprinting and assembly. I will install the motor, manifolds, fuel system, turbo, ect. After that, its of the the dyno to take care of any tuning that my be needed.

The main focus of this build was to get my car to the mid 14s on the quarter. Think Ill make it with all of this stuff?

Sounds good. With those internals you're using and proper tuning, it should have no problem reaching 13's or better. You might wanna do your research on what fuel set up you will be using if you will be boosting You can reach mid 14's on a properly tuned boosted stock motor. Good luck and keep us posted.

Nearly identical to the setup I have, minus the turbo parts. Looks good Tom, and I agree with ^^ in saying you should be reaching mid to low 13s with that setup if tuned properly. Good luck...I see you finally got your parts from Scandelous?

He actually called me today, told me that they should be delivered thurs/fri. I should have tracking info tonight. Ill believe it when I see it. He said he was also sending me some cash cover some costs and aggravation. Again, Ill believe it when I see it. As for the build, it goes on. I will have the motor built and get it ready for the hair drier to be bolted on should it ever arrive.

My original plan was to get the car into the 14s. Then I started researching and buying parts.

As for the 14 on the 1/4, I'm sure that I will be a bit quicker than that.

The fuel system is the only limit I have at this point. I am choosing the HRC port fueler only due to the fact its pretty much a plug and play system. I will need minimal tuning at that point to get the car to DD status. The MSnS was really holds a lot of interest with me though. There is probably more power to be squeezed from my motor with the MSnS. I just have no tuning background, and it seems alot of shops local are skeptical on tuning my car, especially with something like the MSnS . I know that there is a wealth of knowledge here but Im just going to air on the side of caution at first. Down the road, I want to join the 400+whp 420 club I figure that Ill have a good start with this set up. We shall see though, I havent purchased the fuel system yet.

Your going through the same build I just went through, minus the valves, .60 trim turbo and wastegate. With that set-up you should be able to obtain 15-20psi easily. I know that if you can learn how to properly launch your car and drive it, you can reach high 12's at about 15-16 psi. Maybe when you get to about 18 psi though you need to remember to have something to control ignition/timing or maybe water injection, so you don't have to run higher octane gas(and also lower intake temps!!!).
