I finally have all the bugs worked out of my car except for this. the injector randomly starts firing or not firing. For example today. I started the car up, ran fine. No misses. Drove it down to the car wash, washed it, drove around for about 30 minutes making sure the car is running good. came home and ate. Started the car to pull it into the garage. Did a boost leak test. Started it to pull it back out to park it and behold! Number one cylinder not firing. tapped the injector etc. nothing, wiggles wires etc thinking i bumped something.
I tested the injector, im getting about 13 ohms across it.
I tried testing the plug that goes into the injector while the car was idling and I didint get any readings. I think i might have a broken wire to my injector somewhere in the harness.
How can i check it with a volt meter. What kind of output should i be able to read from the plug. or where can hook into seeing if the wires are broken.
I need this car runing withing 4 days for college. I need help guys. i appreciate anything.

Do you have access to a Noid Light Set? That is the absolute best way to see if you have a ground signal on the injector circuit.
You should have a constant 12v on one wire, and the other should be a switched ground if not mistaken. I don't have Alldata in front of me right now, but all four injectors should have the same color wire going to them, thats your 12v source. Then the others are your switched ground signals. This may or may not work as I've never done it this way: If you have your 12v, set your meter to do a continuity test, ground one terminal, and hook it up to the injector ground circuit with the car running and it should beep if there is a path to ground. If it does, you have a bad injector, if not there is a circuit problem. Although I've seen 10x more injectors go bad than wiring.

Ahh it does. I disconneted my battery and the injector, and saw if the wire from the was broke or not. sure enough it was, traced it back to one of my plugs in the harness that was bumped around by one of my boost pipes.
runs perfect. Now for that oil leak and leaky boost pipes.... haha
by the way. 2gnt+turbo+ snow= alot of fun
even though im dumb for test driving at night in the snow. ohwell.
