120238, Help me spend $3,000 maybe more...

HEY! I havn't been on here in a long time... I've been busy, really busy... BUT I still have my car and now I have a question...

Check it out... I have $3,000 to put into my baby... maybe more because I just got a new job and I'm making $1,500 more a month and nothing to spend it on right now :) What do I spend it on???

I've been looking around so I have a list of stuff I would like to buy... Please check out my current mods and let me know what you would do...

Here is the list of stuff I've been thinking of buying... I will probably end up getting all this stuff by the end of the year ( hopefully but we'll see... at least eventually I'll get it all )

-Quaife Limited Slip Differentials ( Front differential and Center Differential )
-Rotora Big Brake Upgrade
-Sparco Milano Racing Seats ( leather... cheapest price I've seen are about $1,200 each )
-Blueprint and Balanced engine, .20 overbore, JE pistons... the works... stronger, able to handle more without fear of blowing it up....
-Road Race Engineering's tight ass suspention JIC FLT-A2 coilovers... straight custom

This list can actually go on forever but these are the main things I've been thinking of lately... I know I will have a little money left over depending on what I get... but I can always put the rest into one of the other things... I also know I can get a bigger turbo and make my eclipse the fastest eclipse in the world.. blah blah.... I'm all about that.. but I first believe you can't have power without control... I'm not looking to go fast as soon as possible... I just paid my car off in October last year and plan to have it for a LONG time and I've done the whole power thing... I don't like it when things break so I want to do it right... ya know... lol... anyway.. let me know what you think.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Welcome back. Checking that list of yours, by far the coolest treat for the gsx would be a big brake upgrade. I remember some old pics of your car taken from the side, and those wheels would just set off big brakes like no other. Leather seats ha ha NO. Upgrade your braking before you make the car faster, IMO the smartest path to go.

I never get tired of that blue, yum

second the brakes
since you have the money, id order a set of JDM (yes i just used that on this forum) 99 Galant Knuckes and swap them in.
reason being is they are an EXACT fit for the Evo's Brembo brakes and rotors.
and since evo's are real popular now everybody and there hot sister are making parts for evos.
more kits avaliable = better prices on good kits and you can go CRAZY big if you wanted to.

second thing might be a good stand alone (depending on how crazy you want to boost and stuff)

either way your gonna get some sweeeeet items with this amount of cash

Sup, man. Long time. I have to agree with Foggy. Rather than go for some Rotora static, covnert over to the ability to use EVO brake parts and give yourself more options. That might be a wise course of action.

The stand alone might be a good idea too. Pick up DSMlink or AEM EMS and go to town. Get that thing tuned. See what you can do on a stock block with proper tuning. Maxing out a built 4G63 is going to call for more turbo, fuel, etc..

Yeah. The list could go on and on...

I'd say, in order;

Diff's
Coil-Overs
DSMLink
Brakes
etc.

I was thinking brakes also... cause I'll still have about a thousand left over for other stuff even if I did just buy the Rotora Brakes... but I've thought of changing my brakes to make them Evo compatable, but its difficult to find an Evo brake kit... and even if I do, are they going to be in good shape? I dunno, I think Stoptech is better then Brembo anyway... I dunno.... but I will probably lean towards getting the brake kit first... then get the differentials to handle the extra power...

What do you guys think of Blue printing and balancing???

even if you dont use the Evo brembos, you can then use ANY kit for the Evo. thats the beauty of the conversion. :thumbsup
so spending money on an Evo big brake kit would be better then a 2g big brake kit

Engine!! Car looks great, why not make it bulletproof and able to handle MORE power.
Brakes afterwards.
